Hi,

I am looking at a 2003 Piaggio LT150 as well. The owner said that it
has some damage to the starters, one works but the other does, (and
i'm not sure what *that* means)... She wants $2100 whereas the retail
cost from kelley blue book is $2165 for Good condition and $1445 Trade-
in value for Good condition. She's also assured me that it goes 80mph,
which from experience, I totally doubt. What do you all think about
that price? This is in American dollars though! I think it's high and
would be more inclined to pay 1800, but I don't want to be a jerk
either... Anywho, Any opinions on the scooter and the price? I totally
appreciated the feedback on the yamaha and the Kymco!

A Vespa GT200 would READ 82mph... But it had a 10% over-read error
(calibrated against a GPS unit on a straight road)... 82 - 8.2 => 73.8;
factory specs for the unit were 74mph top.

I'd be surprised if a 150 engine could /read/ 70, much less achieve
a real 70... 60-65mph on the flat.

No idea what is meant by the "starters" plural -- unless the 150 has
both electric and kick start, and the electric is out...

Actually the Vespa 150's do have kick starts. But I'm not even sure what
this thread is about..And I believe the Piaggio 150's don't but one can
